| |   La soprano Americana nacida en Jordania Nadine Balbeisi, se graduó en interpretación vocal por la Universidad de Michigan estudiando con George Shirley. Continuó sus estudios de canto en la Escuela Superior de Música de Colonia (Hochschule für Musik Köln) con Barbara Schlick, obteniendo allí su segundo diploma. Su repertorio incluye música del siglo XV al XVIII, en las especialidades de oratorio, lied, música de cámara y ópera. Ha actuado como solista en Oratorios con varias orquestas en Alemania y España y dado recitales de canto en Europa y Estados Unidos. Junto con el violagambista Fernando Marín, fundó el duo Cantar alla Viola, centrándose en la música española e inglesa del Renacimiento. Fue ganadora de un premio en el concurso internacional de ópera de cámara del castillo de Rheinsberg (Kammeroper Schloß Rheinsberg), ha representado los papeles de Adele, Barbarina, Bastienne, Despina y Papagena. Entre los proyectos para 2009 canta en el Oratorio de Navidad de J. S. Bach la Kölner Philharmonie, el papel de Serpina de La Serva Padrona en una gira por Aragón y el papel de Dido en Dido y Aeneas en los Estados Unidos.
 Nadine Balbeisi was born and lived in Amman, Jordan until at the age of 8 years she moved to the United States. She received her Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from the University of Michigan studying with George Shirley. She continued her vocal studies in Germany at the Hochschule für Musik Köln with Barbara Schlick, obtaining a second degree. Her repertoire includes music from the XV through the XVIII Centuries consisting of Oratorio, Lied, Chamber music and Opera. She has performed as a soloist with various orchestras in Germany and Spain and has given concerts and recitals in Europe and in the US. She founded the duo Cantar alla Viola together with Viola da gambist, Fernando Marín, which focuses on Spanish and English Renaissance music. She was a prize winner of the International Competition of the Kammeroper Schloß Rheinsberg. She has performed the roles of Adele, Barbarina, Bastienne, Despina, Papagena and the Sandmann. Among her projects in 2009, she is performing as a soloist Bach’s Christmas Oratorio in the Kölner Philharmonie, the role of Serpina in Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona in a tour in Spain, and the leading role in Dido and Aeneas by Purcell in the US.
 Die jordanisch-amerikanische Sopranistin Nadine Balbeisi erlangte ihr Bachelor-Diplom in Gesang an der Universität zu Michigan, wo sie von George Shirley ausgebildet wurde. Ihr Studium führte sie in Deutschland bei Prof. Barbara Schlick an der Hochschule für Musik in Köln fort. Ihr Repertoire enthält das breite Spektrum der Musik zwischen dem 15. und 18. Jahrhundert und besteht aus Oratorium, Lied, Kammermusik und Oper. Als Solistin in diversen Oratorien ist sie mit verschiedenen Orchestern in Deutschland und Spanien aufgetreten und gab Konzerte und Liederabende in Europa und in den USA. Zusammen mit dem Gambisten Fernando Marin hat sie ihr Duo Cantar alla Viola, das einen besonderen Schwerpunkt auf spanische und englische Renaissance- und Frühbarockmusik legt, gegründet. Im Opernbereich war sie Preisträgerin des Internationalen Gesangswettbewerbes der Kammeroper Schloß Rheinsberg. Unter anderem ist sie als Bastienne, Despina, Adele, Barbarina, Papagena und als Sandmann aufgetreten. Zu den Projekten für 2009 zählen unter anderem die Sopranpartie des Weihnachtsoratoriums von J.S. Bach in der Kölner Philharmonie, die Rolle der Serpina in einer Produktion von Pergolesis La Serva Padrona in Spanien und die Rolle Dido in Dido and Aeneas von Purcell in den USA.
Natural de Alicante, Fernando Marín recibió una amplia formación musical en Praga, Colonia, y Bruselas. Se graduó de Violoncello en el Conservatorio Superior de Música de Oviedo, y de Viola da Gamba y Música de Cámara con Instrumentos Históricos en la Escuela Superior de Música de Colonia (Hochschule für Musik Köln), estudiando con Alexander Fedortchenco y Wieland Kuijken (Bruselas). Ha actuado como solista y bajo continuo en numerosas salas de conciertos en Alemania, México, Holanda, Bélgica, Republica Checa y Polonia. Su especialización en instrumentos inéditos del siglo XVI, como la Vihuela de arco o la Lyra viol, ha sido la inspiración de sus proyectos. Ha investigado profundamente en los orígenes, métodos de ejecución y repertorio de estos instrumentos, desarrollando una depurada técnica de acompañar el canto que muestra en su dúo “Cantar alla Viola.” Recientemente ha publicado un artículo sobre retórica musical en la revista de musicología Nassarre. Actualmente es Profesor de Viola da Gamba en el Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Zaragoza.
Originally from Alicante, Fernando Marín has obtained an international musical education, studying in Spain, the Czech Republic, Germany and Belgium. He received a cello degree at the Conservatory of Music in Oviedo and degrees in Viola da Gamba and Chamber Music at the Conservatory of Music in Cologne. During his studies he worked particularly closely with Alexander Fedortchenco and Wieland Kuijken (Brussels). He has performed as a soloist and basso continuo player in various concert halls in Germany, Mexico, Holland, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Poland. The highlight of his projects has been his specialization in unedited instruments from the XVI century such as the Vihuela de arco and the Lyra viol. He has researched the origins, methods of playing and repertoire of these instruments, developing a technique of accompanying the voice elaborated on in his duo “Cantar alla Viola.” He has written articles on his research and recently published an article about rhetoric in music in the Nassarre Journal of Musicology. He is currently on faculty for Viola da Gamba at the Conservatory of Music in Zaragoza.

Er hat über die Herkunft, die Methode des Spielens, und das Repertoire der Instrumente gründliche Nachforschungen angestellt. Kürzlich wurde ein Artikel von ihm über Rhetorik der Musik in der Fachzeitschrift Nassarre veröffentlicht. Er ist zur Zeit Dozent für Viola da Gamba am Conservatorio Profesional de Música in Zaragoza.
